Vermont Floor
Hockey seeks to provide opportunities for children and adults with intellectual
disabilities and other special needs to be physically active by playing floor
hockey.
Embracing the values of individuality, diversity and respect, these
activities aim to promote and encourage self-worth, empowerment, acceptance and
inclusion.
Our programs and activities are flexible and are shaped by the needs and
skills of the participants. The general structure
is to spend some time learning and practicing a skill, then putting it into
action in fun, gamelike exercises or during a more traditional game setting.
Some
activities bring together participants with and without disabilities.
Instruction
and supervision are provided by a team of adult volunteers from our Club
Membership. Our team is dedicated to creating a fun and friendly environment in
which each participant is at ease, feels rewarded and successful.
Schedule of Activities Vermont Floor Hockey offers special recreational floor hockey
activities throughout the year.
