The Blazers completed their May/June winning journey by capturing the 2011 spring season championship title of the Greater Burlington Floor Hockey Club on Monday, 27 June, 2011. Spurred on by Blazer goalie C. Chase’s amazing glove save on a sure goal in the first period, the team kept the Sharks to a one-goal game in this 6 to 1 victory. The Sharks had defeated the Wings in overtime just minutes before the championship game and kept up with the Blazers through the beginning of the second half. With the score being 2 to 1, the Blazers’ offensive unit continued where it had left off during the regular season and scored four unanswered goals to take the Sharks’ hopes away. The Spring 2011 edition of the Blazers, who finished in first place, 10 points ahead of the second place Wings and who outscored their opponents 114 goals to 75 in 12 regular season games, was composed of J. Bicknell, B. Bouchard, A. Dees, goalie C. Chase, M. Menard, R. Miller, C. Mitchell, D. Nichols and C. Van Epps Fung.
