Teams that are tied at the end of regulation time during a regular season game will now have the opportunity to battle it out in overtime. The overtime period will last up to three minutes with each team having three players and a goalie on the court. If there is no score at the end of the three minutes, a tie and one point will be assigned to each team. The rule change was proposed by the Board at their July 2011 meeting and was later co-sponsored by three other club members. |
